Angelica NY is an enchanting small village
nestled in the unspoiled hills of Allegany
County NY, a region located at the foot of the
Appalachian Mountains. Here, the
elevation rises to over 2,000 feet above sea
level and the gorgeous hills overlook the
gentle Angelica Creek valley which meanders its
way to the Genesee River. Visitors are greeted
with a warm welcome and are likely to reminisce
about days gone by as Angelica New York was the
first community to appear in
the frontier lands of Allegany County in the
early 1800’s. Things move at a slower pace in
Angelica
and the beauty of the region is accessed by
several recreation areas including low traffic walking
areas and bicycle
routes that lead to gorgeous rural areas and
panoramic vistas. We have provided
information on several great bike
routes and places to enjoy cycling. Western New
York Hiking Trails are also abundant around the
Evergreen Trails Campground. For a fun-filled

 Most cyclists and easy riders begin biking at
the Angelica Park Circle, which provides easy
access to Main Street and features many nice
side streets. The rides stemming from Main
Street take you over a charming bridge with the
longest wood span in America, and many lovely historic homes in the area. The
business district connects to Park Circle and if
riders go east they can ride by the “Until the
Day Dawn” Cemetery, followed by a fascinating
Civil War monument. Bikers looking to cycle a
longer stretch can follow the loop ride which
begins in Angelica and ends at the same point,
and those looking for a more strenuous ride can
cycle this route in reverse and experience hill climbs.
